How to set a temporary password locally

The purpose of this function is to allow temporary access to the charging station.
This can be used for instance when an installer or service engineer needs to provide service to the station.

  1. Make sure you are using the ACE Service Installer program with version 3.5.1 or higher. Update your current version or download the application from alfen.com/downloads.

  2. Open the ACE Service Installer. The connected charging station(s) will now appear.

Log in to the charging station, after which you will arrive at the ‘General’ page.

Click on the ‘Station Password’ tab.

  3. Now click on the ‘Temporary password’ button.

  4. In the pop-up that appears, you can enter a new temporary password.

You can also enter the expiration time, which is the number of hours that the temporary password should be available before it expires.

    The maximum is 72 hours.

After entering the new password and expiration time of your choice, press ‘Ok’.

The temporary password is now available for the amount of hours you entered and can be used for locally logging into the charging station.

The Owner password still works simultaneously

  5. When locally logging in to the charging station with the temporary password, you have to change the User level into ‘Temporary’.

Then you can enter the temporary password and gain access to the charging station.
